Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico Community Unit School District 3 students suspended 6 times in a single school year

Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico Community Unit School District 3 reported six suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

The district transferred one students to another program instead of suspending or expelling them.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 6 students during the year. That equates to 0.7 percent of the 862 students enrolled.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes four incidents. There were one incidents of violence that caused physical injury. For five incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
