Q2 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Whiteside County?

There were 26 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2020 that live in Whiteside County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by NW Illinois News.

The data shows that 22 men and four women were released in Whiteside County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was David C. Garcia. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 30 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2020 in each Whiteside County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
