In total, residents paid approximately $1 million in sales taxes during 2024.

The county ranked 84th in the Prairie State the year before, with $984,796 spent in sales taxes.

The largest share of sales taxes paid by Carroll County residents in 2024 came from the Countywide Sales Tax.

The Countywide Sales Tax, a crucial revenue stream, is primarily allocated for county governments’ use.
