State Representative Brad Fritts announced on May 5 that he is seeking nominations for his 2026 Educator of the Year Award. The award aims to recognize educators in the 74th District who show exceptional dedication to their students.
The annual award highlights the contributions of teachers and school staff who go beyond their regular duties. Fritts said, “We have so many incredible educators in the 74th District who don’t get enough recognition. This award is a way for us to celebrate the exemplary educators who go above and beyond in our community and deserve to be recognized for their dedication to education.”
Educators must work full-time at a school within the district to be eligible for nomination. Nominations are open until 5:00 PM on Monday, May 18, according to information provided by Representative Fritts’ office.
Fritts was elected as a Republican member of the Illinois State House in 2023 and represents the state’s 74th House District, replacing former state representative Dan Swanson, according to the Illinois General Assembly.
Those interested can submit nominations by visiting RepFritts.com or using an online form available through his official website.
