Unpaid fines for Sterling-based campaign committee totaled $900 in January 2017

One campaign committee in Sterling has overdue fines amounting to a total of $900, records obtained by the Rock Island Today show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens to Elect Pat Liston was the only campaign committee in Sterling that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Citizens to Elect Pat Liston has yet to pay was imposed on June 8, 2015, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $400.
