Report: Forrestville Valley spent $9,318 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Forrestville Valley Community Unit School District 221 is down 13 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $10,762 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,318 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 866 to 856.

Forrestville Valley's spending in 2016-17 was 28 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
