Report: Rock Falls spent $12,764 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Rock Falls Township High School District 301 is down 11 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Whiteside County school district spent $14,282 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,764 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 672 to 666.

Rock Falls's spending in 2016-17 was 2 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
