Report: Oregon spent $11,500 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Oregon Community Unit School District 220 is up 13 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $10,144 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,500 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1526 to 1451.

Oregon's spending in 2016-17 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
