Report: West Carroll spent $11,980 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at West Carroll Community Unit School District 314 is up 8 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Carroll County school district spent $11,046 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,980 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1171 to 1130.

West Carroll's spending in 2016-17 was 8 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
