Report: Stockton spent $10,060 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Stockton Community Unit School District 206 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Jodaviess County school district spent $9,064 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,060 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 616 to 625.

Stockton's spending in 2016-17 was 22 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
