Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
The board of directors of Union Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicholas A. Gill to Senior Vice President. Gill graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He holds the professional designation of Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer, graduated from the prestigious Graduate School of Banking in 2015 and attended the Leadership Institute at Highland Community College in 2011.

Active in the community, Gill is a member of both the Lincoln Douglas Kiwanis and the Enterprise Zone Expansion Group. Gill also volunteers as an assistant coach for Foreston High School Football team and as head coach for the Midwest Timberwolves travel baseball team.
