City of Galena issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
City Hall and the Police Department administrative office will be closed Wednesday, January 30 because of the extreme cold. Police officers will be on duty. For non-emergency police matters, please call 815-777-2131. Please call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
The Water and Sewer Department will be staffed and may be reached at 815-777-9315.
The Public Works crew will be performing snow removal operations
