Report: Polo spent $10,604 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Polo Community Unit School District 222 is up 7.7 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Ogle County school district spent $9,850 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,604 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 644 to 578.

Polo's spending in 2017-18 was 20.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
