Report: Rock Falls spent $9,164 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rock Falls Elementary School District 13 is up 15.8 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Whiteside County school district spent $7,915 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,164 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 993 to 1058.

Rock Falls's spending in 2017-18 was 31.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
