Report: Amboy spent $11,742 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Amboy Community Unit School District 272 is up 15.4 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lee County school district spent $10,173 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,742 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 741 to 693.

Amboy's spending in 2017-18 was 12 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
