Report: Montmorency spent $9,158 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Montmorency Community Consolidated School District 145 is up 13.1 percent from five years ago, according to a NW Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Whiteside County school district spent $8,100 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,158 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 326 to 267.

Montmorency's spending in 2017-18 was 31.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
