Mount Carroll home prices fall in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Mount Carroll fell by $25,250 while total sales decreased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $31,000 - a 44.9% decrease over the $56,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Mount Carroll in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Mount Carroll for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,495.50, approximately 4.8% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
