Freeport home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Freeport rose by $4,750 while total sales increased by 16.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 149 homes sold, with a median sale price of $62,000 - a 8.3% increase over the $57,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 128 homes sold in Freeport in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Freeport for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,444, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
