Erie home prices fall in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Erie fell by $28,500 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $43,000 - a 39.9% decrease over the $71,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Erie in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Erie for 2017 was $2,050. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,941. This marks an increase of 5.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.8%.
