City of Lanark issued the following announcement on May 8.
The Watertower maintenance project is underway, and as part of that work the inside of the watertower needs to be cleaned and painted. For this to happen, the water must be drained out of the tower for the duration of the repairs. This requires the use of several portable pressurized vessels that are used to maintain pressure inside the water system. However, the capacity of the system is drastically reduced even with the pressure system in place, which is why we must make serious efforts to reduce water use.
