Illinois State House District 90 issued the following announcement on July 1
State Representative Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) will continue his mobile office hours tour this month with a Tuesday, July 16 event at Fox Valley Older Adult Services in Sandwich. The mobile office hours will take place from 11:15AM until 12:15PM, and the facility is located at 1406 Suydam Road.
The event is part of an outreach program to provide residents of the 90th House District with easier access to their legislative representative in Springfield. Demmer will attend the event if his schedule permits, and a member of his staff will be available to talk about the services available through the legislative office, and provide assistance to residents having issues with state agencies or programs. The event is open to the public and no appointment is necessary.
“The 90th District is quite large. It spans about 75 miles east to west and about 50 miles north to south, so I am very aware that my Dixon office is geographically not convenient for many of the people I represent,” said Demmer. “By offering mobile office hours, I’m able to bring my office’s resources to locations that provide easier access to my constituents.”
Cynthia Worsley, Executive Director of Fox Valley Older Adult Services, said she is looking forward to the July 16 event. “We are pleased to be a part of the partnership with Rep. Tom Demmer because this will give the citizens of this area the opportunity to speak with him,” Worsley said. “It is an excellent time to tell him of your concerns regarding various programs, decisions and suggestions for legislation. We welcome him and his staff to Fox Valley Older Adult Services.”
Additional mobile office hours at Fox Valley Older Adult Serves will be held on October 22 and December 3 this year. Other mobile office hours will be taking place in Rochelle and Oregon throughout the remainder of the year.
