Byron Forest Preserve District issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Take a guided vehicle tour of the expanded boundaries of the Bald Hill Prairie Preserve to see the new acreage of the Byron Forest Preserve District's most popular preserves. Thanks to the grant from the IL Clean Energy Community Foundation, the Bald Hill Preserve has grown from 160 acres to nearly 380 acres making it the third largest in the district. Come explore the new boundaries and take a tour of the Big Champion Tree for the State of IL. Please meet us at 5502 N. Silver Creek Rd, Mt Morris 61054. You must register to participate in this program, call 815-234-8535 to register.
