City of Dixon issued the following announcement on Dec. 9.

The snow is falling which means the 31st Annual Downtown Dixon Christmas Walk is right around the corner! Enjoy the holiday festivities in Downtown Dixon on December 6th from 6-9pm. We'll have:

• Tree Lighting at KSB Hospital

• DHS Madrigals roaming the shops and streets

• Cookie Decorating at Mama Cimino's

• John Deere Blacksmith

• Cliff's Donuts & More

• Horse-drawn Carriage Rides

• Santa's Village at Living Well Church

• Craft and Vendor Show at Living Well Church

• The Salvation Army Performing

• Street Performers

• Downtown Business Specials

• Phi Theta Kappa North Pole Extravaganza

• Fumc Dixon Bell Choir

• Roasted Chestnuts by Lee County (IL) Democrats

• Live Ice Sculpture Carvings
