ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 71: Morrison Police Department Awarded ComEd “Powering Safe Communities” Grant

Illinois State House District 71 issued the following announcement on Dec. 11

Rep. Tony McCombie congratulates the Morrison Police Department on being selected as a 2019 winner of ComEd’s Green Region, Powering the Arts and Powering Safe Communities program grant.

“Congratulations to the Morrison Police Department on advocating for this funding for their community,” said Rep. Tony McCombie. “I appreciate ComEd recognizing the merit in their application and choosing them as a Safe Communities grant recipient.”

The Morrison Police Department will use this grant to help purchase a variable message and speed trailer for the community to allow for speed monitoring, data collection, speed awareness, speed enforcement, traffic control and one-way communication for road hazards, enforcement campaigns, special events and other emergency responses.

The Morrison Police Department was officially announced as a grant recipient at a reception on Tuesday evening hosted by ComEd.
