Byron Forest Preserve District issued the following announcement on Jan. 13.
Take a guided walking tour of our Bald Hill Prairie Preserve in winter. This will be a moderate hike with several step hills. Dress for the weather. Meet at the Bald Hill Prairie Preserve parking lot located at 5502 North Silver Creek Road, Mt. Morris. Please call 815-234-8535 to register, free program. Thursday the 16th, is the deadline. Children must be 10 years and older please.
