10 Stephenson County residents in their seventies test positive for COVID-19

As of May 31, there have been 10 Stephenson County residents in their seventies who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 200 residents in their seventies in the county who had been tested, meaning that five percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through May 31, there have been 206 confirmed COVID-19 cases and two deaths from the coronavirus in Stephenson County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
