Oregon home prices rise in August 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in Oregon rose by $4,000 while total sales increased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $76,500 - a 5.5% increase over the $72,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Oregon in August 2017.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2018 was $2,209. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,210. This marks an decrease of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.9%.
