Rochelle home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Rochelle rose by $1,500 while total sales decreased by 6.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 43 homes sold, with a median sale price of $99,000 - a 1.5% increase over the $97,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 46 homes sold in Rochelle in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Rochelle for 2019 was $2,739. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,663. This marks an increase of 2.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
