Oregon home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Oregon rose by $37,750 while total sales remained unchanged with 18 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 18 homes sold, with a median sale price of $113,750 - a 49.7% increase over the $76,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Oregon in the second quarter of 2018, as well.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2019 was $2,332. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,209. This marks an increase of 5.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
