Oregon home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Oregon fell by $8,750 while total sales decreased by 40.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 13 homes sold, with a median sale price of $59,000 - a 12.9% decrease over the $67,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 22 homes sold in Oregon in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2018 was $2,209. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,210. This marks an decrease of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.7%.
