Rochelle home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Rochelle fell by $8,500 while total sales increased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $104,500 - a 7.5% decrease over the $113,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Rochelle in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Rochelle for 2018 was $2,663. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,625. This marks an increase of 1.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
