Forreston home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Forreston rose by $42,100 while total sales decreased by 22.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $122,000 - a 52.7% increase over the $79,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Forreston in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Forreston for 2018 was $1,892. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,921. This marks an decrease of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
