Byron home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Byron rose by $6,100 while total sales remained unchanged with 23 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 23 homes sold, with a median sale price of $149,000 - a 4.3% increase over the $142,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 23 homes sold in Byron in the third quarter of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Byron for 2018 was $3,292. In 2017, the median sales tax was $3,258. This marks an increase of 1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
