Oregon home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Oregon rose by $8,000 while total sales decreased by 9.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were 66 homes sold, with a median sale price of $78,000 - a 11.4% increase over the $70,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 73 homes sold in Oregon in 2017.

The median sales tax in Oregon for 2018 was $2,209. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,210. This marks an decrease of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
