Leaf River home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Leaf River fell by $16,500 while total sales decreased by 12.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $35,000 - a 32% decrease over the $51,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Leaf River in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Leaf River for 2019 was $1,899. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,598. This marks an increase of 18.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.4%.
