Sen. Win Stroller (R-Germantown Hills) is sponsoring Senate Bill 81, which will create a tax checkoff for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Fund, providing families support they need.

"The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides an invaluable service to families faced with the medical hardships of a sick child. This tax checkoff program will help ensure that Ronald McDonald House can continue to provide assistance to Illinois families who need it," Stoller wrote in a Facebook post

Ronald McDonald House Charities in Central Illinois has voiced its appreciation for Stroller’s leadership, explaining that the new bill will ensure that 29 counties will have access to the charity’s services, which specialize in supporting families who are caring for sick children.

The state’s tax checkoff program lets Illinois taxpayers designate $1 or more to approved charities or causes.

Senate Bill 81 was passed by both the Senate and House, and now heads to the governor’s desk for approval.
