CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Arellano at 8:02am.
ROLL CALL
Councilman Considine, Oros and Mayor Arellano answered Roll Call. Absent, Councilman Marshall and Venier. Pledge of Allegiance was cited.
VISITORS/PUBLIC COMMENT
None
RES# 2865-21 – AMENDING 2020-2021 BUDGET
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Councilman Oros moved to approve the resolution amending the FY20-21 budget with respect to the Police Uniforms. Seconded by Councilman Considine. Discussion ensued. Voting Yea: Councilman Considine, Oros and Mayor Arellano. Voting Nay: None. Motion Carried
RES# 2866-21 – INDUCEMENT RESOLUTION IN CONNECTION WITH THE DESIGNATION OF AREDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA UNDER THE ILLINOIS TAX INCREMENTAL LOCATION REDEVELOPMENT ACT
Councilman Considine moved to approve the Inducement Resolution in connection with the designation of a Redevelopment Project Area Under the Illinois Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act. Seconded by Councilman Oros. Mayor Arellano discussed the need for this resolution, and discussion ensued. Voting Yea: Councilman Considine, Oros and Mayor Arellano. Voting Nay: None. Motion Carried
AWARD THE BID FOR WEST 9TH & MONROE PROJECT
Councilman Oros moved to award the bid the project to O’Brien Civil Works for their low-bid amount of $145,806.50. Seconded by Councilman Considine. Voting Yea: Councilman Considine, Oros and Mayor Arellano. Voting Nay: None. Motion Carried
ADJOURMENT
Councilman Considine moved that the Special Council Meeting of Friday April 23, 2021, be adjourned to meet in Regular Session on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 5:30pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Seconded by Councilman Oros. Voting Yea: Councilman Considine, Oros and Mayor Arellano. Motion Carried.
