Sauk Valley Community College Athletics recently issued the following announcement.
Sauk Valley went 3-0 this weekend to earn the Regional Championship and a trip the NJCAA national tournament. On Saturday the swept Olive -- Harvey by scores of 25-13, 25-9 and 25-12. On Sunday they won a 4 set match against Highland 25-15, 10-25, 25-14 and 26-24.
They then swept Black Hawk 25-12, 25-15 and 25-23 to win the Region 4 Division A title and to qualify for nationals for the 6th time in the last 8 years. Michal Willman and Kiley Sanders were named to the All-tournament team.
