Report: Kings School District spent $14,965 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Kings Consolidated School District 144 was up 10 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Ogle County school district spent $13,606 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,965 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 66 to 88 students over the same period.

Kings's spending in 2019-20 was 3.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
