Report: West Carroll School District spent $12,786 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at West Carroll Community Unit School District 314 was up 11 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Carroll County school district spent $11,514 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,786 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,167 to 1,036 students over the same period.

West Carroll's spending in 2019-20 was 11.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
