Report: Rock Falls School District spent $9,961 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rock Falls Elementary School District 13 was up 15.5 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Whiteside County school district spent $8,623 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,961 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,133 to 956 students over the same period.

Rock Falls's spending in 2019-20 was 31.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
