Report: Forrestville Valley School District spent $10,425 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Forrestville Valley Community Unit School District 221 was up 12.2 percent from five years ago, according to the NW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Ogle County school district spent $9,292 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,425 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 853 to 794 students over the same period.

Forrestville Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 28.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
