City of Dixon Veterans Memorial Park Commission met July 27.

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Al Wikoff, Charles Thomas, Keane Hudson, Tom Bushman, Gary Debord, Mike Mills, Terry Stephenitch, Scott Brinkmeier, Roger Willey, Lexi Willey, Butch Pfeifer
GUESTS PRESENT: None
CALL TO ORDER: On July 27th 2022 @ 6:30 P.M. meeting was called to order by Chairman Roger Willey, followed by the pledge of allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: None
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A) Reading of prior meeting of June 22nd 2022 meeting minutes: Motion was made by Gary Debord to approve, and was 2nd by Scott Brinkmeier,, motion passed by voice vote
B) FINANCIAL/TREASURER: A motion was made by Scott Brinkmeier to approve report and was 2nd by Charles Thomas, motion passed by voice vote
C) ARTIFACTS: Rep coming from Air Force to visit our park on Aug 24th
D) GROUNDS/BUILDINGS/PROPERTY/MAINTENANCE: Talked of trying to get WWII memorial stone from memorial pool
E) LEGACY STONES/ DEDICATION: 2 Vet / 1 Patron Cut-off date for next dedication is Aug 1st 2022. Also talked about payment options for stones, lexi willey working on different options
F) FLAGS: Gary DeBord stated that the American flag, flag pole was binding up and trying to fix, and also going to inspect all the other flag poles
G) IT/COMPUTERS/WEBSITE/E-MAIL: Roger Willey still working on web site
H) CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION/THANK YOU: None
I) MEMORIAL DONOR PLAQUE: None
OLD BUSINESS: Arbors need to be power washed and painted, also the flag poles
NEW BUSINESS: 501(c) (3) structure: Still working on the fine tuning
FUND RAISING EVENTS: Fund raising group from quad cities raising funds for a donation will be here Sept 24th 2022
COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS: Butch Pfeifer ordered key box for park
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING DATE: August 24th 2022 @ 6:30 P.M.
ADJOURNMENT: At 8:03 Keane Hudson made a motion to adjourn, and was 2nd by Scott Brinkmeier motion carried by voice vote
