City of Dixon Veterans Memorial Park Commission met Aug. 24.

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Al Wikoff, Keane Hudson, Tom Bushman, Mike Mills, Terry Stephenitch, Scott Brinkmeier, Roger Willey, Lexi Willey
GUESTS PRESENT: Mayor Li Arellano
CALL TO ORDER: On August 24th 2022 @ 6:30 P.M. Meeting was called to order by Chairman Roger Willey, followed by the pledge of allegiance
PUBLIC COMMENTS: Mayor Arellano talked of ADA parking, and sidewalks at museum
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A) Reading of prior meeting minutes of July 27th 2022: Motion was made by Tom Bushman to approve, and was 2nd by Mike Mills, motion passed by voice vote
B) FINANCIAL/TREASURER: A motion was made by Lexi Willey to approve report and was 2nd by Mike Mills, motion passed by voice vote.
C) ARTIFACTS: Al Wikoff said rep. from air force was here and did inspection on the F105
D) GROUNDS/BUILDINGS/PROPERTY/MAINTENANCE: Beirut monument has been re-set, getting estimates to repair arbors.
E) LEGACY STONES/ DEDICATION: 4 veteran 1 patron. Cut-off date for apps is April 15th and August 15th. Next stone dedication date October 9th 2022 @ 2:00 P.M.
F) FLAGS: We are going to talk with Dixon city fire dept. to see if they can check our flag poles
G) IT/COMPUTERS/WEBSITE/E-MAIL: Roger Willey working on Pay Pal-Venmo accts, also talked of getting more cameras for the park
H) CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION/THANK YOU: None
I) MEMORIAL DONOR PLAQUE: None
OLD BUSINESS:
501(c)(3) STRUCTURE: Al Wikoff made a motion to start a checking account up to $500. And was 2nd by Scott Brinkmeier, Motion was passed by voice vote.
NEW BUSINESS;
TURKEY SHOOT; Trying to organize for November 6th 2022
