State Rep. Tony McCombie (R-Savanna) promoted the 4th Annual Makers Madness contest in a Facebook post published on Saturday.

"Love this contest!!! The Illinois Manufacturers Association (IMA), in partnership with Comcast Business, has opened its 4th Annual Makers Madness contest," McCombie wrote. "Makers Madness is an online contest highlighting Illinois manufacturers and the many wonderful products produced right here in this state. Illinoisans will be able to nominate and vote for their favorite products made in Illinois."

McCombie shared a link to a press release which states that individuals can nominate Illinois products for the competition until Feb. 19 by visiting www.makersmadnessIL.com. Voting will be carried out through several rounds until a final round of four products is reached. The winner will be crowned "The Coolest Thing Made In Illinois," and will officially be announced on March 29.

A feature article focused on the winning company will also be published by the IMA's "Illinois Manufacturer" magazine. The full schedule is as follows:

First Round (Top 16): March 7 - 12
