City of Fulton City Council met June 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Call to order

2. Roll Call

3. Pledge of Allegiance

4. Recognition of Volunteers

5. Communication from Visitors (Any communication that is NOT on the agenda for consideration)

7. Presentations – Alderperson VanKampen to present Jason Snyder, FHS Shop teacher a check for $500.00 for the work his students did on building the Santa house.

8. Consent Agenda (All items in the consent agenda will be enacted by a single motion and roll call vote. Any item may be removed upon request by the Mayor or any Aldermen and considered individually after all other items of business on the consent agenda.)

9. Business

Approve Ordinance changing the Chief of Police to a hired position. (pages 36-37)

Approve Ordinance to amend Standing Committees and to add a Tourism Committee. (page 38)

Approve giving A1 license back to Fulton Oil for the new owner.

Mayor Wendy planter reimbursement. Mayor will present receipts at the meeting.

Committee of the Whole - Discussion

Ordinance for Food and Vendor truck. More discussion needed.

Republic Services discussion.

3. Update the Tourism Director position. This is a hirable position from the City Administrator. FYI information for Council update.

4. City Administrator position on Linked-In or Indeed or other What is the procedure? When the ad is ready, need to get it out there.

5. Discussion on ARPA funds.

6. Discussion to extend Kalyans time frame to get a building permit.

7. Street Improvement – Roads that are getting resurfaced are 4th to 6th St. Also 11th St. from 10th Ave. Both roads are in terrible condition and are in need of replacing. I recommend that we use Fund 38 which is Cannabis fund and Fund 65 street improvement fund. We would use roughly $28,850 out of both funds. We also have a couple water main repair patches to do but those would be paid out of water sewer or MFT.
