Last Tuesday marked the start of the 2024 Spring legislative session in Springfield, and State Representative Bradley J. Fritts is excited to get back to work for the people of District 74. In a recent newsletter, Rep. Fritts promised to keep constituents updated on important legislation through various channels, including his website.

In terms of community outreach, Rep. Fritts partnered with State Representative Ryan Spain to host a Medicare 101 event in Rock Falls. This event aimed to provide valuable information to the senior population. Expressing gratitude to all who attended, Rep. Fritts emphasized the importance of engaging with constituents and addressing their concerns.

Additionally, Rep. Fritts proudly announced his official membership in the Morrison Chamber of Commerce. He looks forward to collaborating with the chamber to create a better environment for businesses to flourish in the community. This commitment to fostering economic growth is a priority for Rep. Fritts.

During a recent tour of the Earlville Community Schools, Rep. Fritts had the opportunity to explore their new learning center and weight room facilities. Impressed by the investments made in education, he highlighted the long-term benefits these improvements will have for current and future students.

One significant issue that Rep. Fritts addressed in his newsletter is a proposed legislation, House Bill 4107, regarding the Shabbona State Park. The bill seeks to return land that was originally supposed to be maintained by the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. The land, currently occupied by Shabbona Lake State Park, was sold by the U.S. government in 1849 without fulfilling the terms of the original agreement. Rep. Fritts emphasized the importance of gathering feedback from constituents within a 15-mile radius of the park to ensure proper representation.

In the spirit of transparency, Rep. Fritts encouraged constituents to reach out to him if they plan to visit Springfield in the coming months. He underscored the significance of accountability and expressed willingness to meet with constituents during their visits.

To stay updated on Rep. Fritts' legislative efforts and to contact his office, constituents are encouraged to visit his website. Additionally, for more frequent updates, constituents can follow him on Facebook.

As the legislative session progresses, Rep. Fritts promises to continue keeping constituents informed through his newsletter. He remains dedicated to serving the people of District 74 and working towards the passage of bills that positively impact their lives.

In conclusion, State Representative Bradley J. Fritts is actively engaged in legislative updates and community outreach. He is committed to transparency and accountability, urging constituents to hold him and his colleagues responsible. By fostering collaboration and prioritizing the needs of the community, Rep. Fritts strives to make a positive difference for the people he represents.
