The Illinois Energy Association recently convened the state's utilities at the Capitol to exhibit their innovative equipment and technologies. House Minority Leader McCombie, along with her Deputy Leader Norine Hammond, were present to inspect some of this equipment.

As the legislative session draws to a close in just a few weeks, Leader McCombie has been active on the House Floor. She presented a bill in the Counties and Townships Illinois House Committee, which passed unanimously. Photos show McCombie alongside members of the Illinois House during this legislative session.

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) paid a visit to Leader McCombie’s Capitol office with their new cadet class for a discussion on legislation. The Illinois Association of Park Districts also made an appearance in town. Numerous park districts from across the state gathered at the Capitol for their advocacy day.

This week saw an influx of visitors to the State Capitol, with Leader McCombie meeting various groups including members of ICASA, American Lung Association, Marengo Mayor John Kosiol, Nucor Steel, University of Illinois Extension and many more.

Leader McCombie also attended the Edgar Fellows Reception this week. She was photographed with Senate Republican Leader John Curran and former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar. McCombie is part of the 2019 Class of Edgar Fellows and was invited as a guest speaker to last year's fellow’s class. The seminar-like program is led by former Governor Edgar and aims to encourage bipartisan and cross-regional cooperation as class participants take on more influential public leadership roles.
