State Representative Bradley Fritts recognized the Reagan Mass Transit District, stating, "Formerly the Lee-Ogle Transportation Systems, this new transit district is working to provide equal access to transit across our region." He made the statement in an August 2 Facebook post.

"Congratulations to the new Reagan Mass Transit District," said Fritts, according to Facebook. "Formerly the Lee-Ogle Transportation Systems, this new transit district is working to provide equal access to transit across our region."

On April 19, SuperHits 93.5 announced the name change from Lee-Ogle Transportation System to Reagan Mass Transit System and said the change would take effect on July 1. According to the news report announcing the change, "The change in the name will help spread awareness that they intend to expand their footprint beyond the two counties and also makes them an independent government entity, making financial duties simpler. Although the name has changed, they will still serve the communities they do now, and hopefully more in the next few years," said Assistant Director Steve Davis.
