This week, Illinois lawmakers convened with stakeholders to discuss the future of energy in the state. House Minority Leader Tony McCombie was joined by State Representatives Dan Ugaste, Jackie Haas, and Travis Weaver, as well as Illinois Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Lou Sandoval and Executive Director of the Illinois Chamber’s Energy Council Alec Messina.

The meeting was hosted by Invenergy, a sustainable energy company based in Illinois. The group engaged in discussions about Illinois’ energy policy, the current state of the industry, and necessary changes for a sustainable future.

“Today we had thoughtful conversations about the benefits and need for reliable, affordable and sustainable energy,” said Leader McCombie. “Growth requires collaboration between all partners and together we can be better!”
